 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress comedian, activist, and actress. Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her acting career as a child shortly after moving to the United States. She gained notoriety for her appearances on AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and , since then, until the year 2020. She was a regular host of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl on Marvel Rising in 2018 following her appearance in the pilot series for New Warriors. Vayntrub, was a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents, who were at the age of two, came to America to escape antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. She began performing in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five, because of the financial difficulties of her family. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, but dropped out after her sophomore year, earned an GED and went to pursue an Associate of Arts in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. As part of the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied the art of improv comedy.
